I CONFESS TO A CERTAIN DEGREE OF ENVY WHENEVER I SEE merchandising displays in a large department store. They carry such a wide array of colorful, attractive products that it is easy to create clever, eye-catching and alluring displays.

Alas, my top products are seed and feeders. It is difficult, if not impossible, to create an attractive display for bags of sunflower seed. No matter how I arrange them or combine them with other items, a display of seed bags just looks like bags of seed. Unexciting. Blah. Unlikely to stimulate an impulse purchase from a casual customer.

In the same way, a tube feeder is merely a hollow plastic cylinder. Nothing fancy or exciting in itself. Sitting on a shelf it doesn’t project much pizzazz. However, there are techniques to help you produce more creative feeder displays.
